Pacentro

The restoration of a 19th century Italian ruin to transform into a holiday home on a limited budget, with up cycling at the heart of the design brief.

Balancing the old with the new, combining Italian elegance and contemporary living.

We focused on up-cycling the ruins existing natural resources the aim of which was retelling the property’s 19th century history whilst updating it with 21st modern comforts and conveniences. For example, the original prosciutto drying rack was converted into a pot rack and fireplace ironmongery was used for curtain tie backs.
